Volunteer to Screen California Firefighters

CalDerm is seeking California-based dermatologists, including practicing and retired physicians, dermatology residents, APPs, and medical students, to volunteer at a special skin cancer screening for California firefighters. The screening will be hosted in partnership with the California Firefighters Skin Cancer Coalition during the 2026 Fall Symposium.

NIOSH research has found increased rates of cancer diagnoses and cancer-related deaths among firefighters compared with expected U.S. population rates. By volunteering your time and expertise, you can support early detection and give back to those who dedicate their lives to protecting our communities.

Multiple shifts are available, whether you can volunteer for one hour or the entire screening.
